Wilco Area Career Center in Romeoville is now hiring:

FULL-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / HR

Job Summary: This position performs and carries out the necessary duties related to the administration and HR at Wilco Area Career Center. The position is the support person for the Executive Director of the Center and does all communication and preparation for monthly school board meetings. We are seeking a candidate who will professionally represent Wilco, must be detail-oriented, and have excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Must be able to multi-task and work calmly in a busy office.

Qualifications: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite. Detail oriented. Prefer some HR experience.

Working Conditions: Full-time, 12-month position at our Romeoville, IL Center.

Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 plus benefits based on experience

FULL-TIME LAW ENFORCEMENT INSTRUCTOR for High School Program

Job Summary: Full-time Law Enforcement Instructor needed for the 2025-2026 school year.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid teaching licensure or qualify for provisional CTE endorsement.
  • A minimum of 2000 hours of work experience in Law Enforcement is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in content area required or preferred Master's in other area plus 18 graduate credits in the discipline

Working Conditions: Located at Wilco Area Career Center, 500 Wilco Blvd., Romeoville, IL 60446 Monday - Friday, 7 :30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Salary: Contract under Negotiation. Beginning $45,000 to $55,000 based on education and work experience

FULL-TIME CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR for High School Program

Job Summary: Full-time Certified Nursing Instructor needed for the 2025-2026 school year. The instructor will instruct all components of the certified nurse assistant course of study to high school juniors and seniors. Additionally, will assist with developing curriculum, and syllabus, and providing instructional materials, which afford students with the optimum opportunity to achieve academic success in Nurse Assistant training.

Qualifications:

  • State of Illinois Educator License with Stipulations ELS (CTEP) - Nurse Aide/Nursing Assistant (Will assist with application process)
  • Two (2) years of medical surgical or physical rehab nursing experience with one year focusing on care for the elderly, including Alzheimer's clients
  • IDPH Train the Trainer and Approved Evaluator certificate (Will work with the successful applicant to schedule)
  • Ability to coach students in a laboratory and the clinical setting
  • Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Skilled in teaching, including clinical instruction
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and communication skills

Working Conditions: Located at Wilco Area Career Center, 500 Wilco Blvd., Romeoville, IL 60446. The schedule aligns to a 180 day school year from Monday through Friday 7:30 am until 3:00 pm daily.

Salary: Contract under Negotiation. Beginning $45,000 to $55,000 based on education and work experience

FULL-TIME CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR for High School Program

Job Summary: Full-time or Part-Time Position open immediately teaching skills at the clinical site.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a registered nurse in the state of Illinois for 2 years.
  • Must have 1 year of nursing experience with direct care in a nursing home or a certified skilled unit at a hospital including personal care and activities of daily living to older adults, or chronically ill adults.
  • Must complete an Approved Evaluator Workshop
  • Must have American Heart Association BLS CPR instructor certification or be willing to become certified

Salary: Based on a combination of years of work experience, teaching experience, and educational level: $33.33 an hour up to $52.59 an hour with 10 years of work, 10 years of teaching, and a Master's + 30.

PART-TIME CUSTODIAN

Job Summary: The skills required to perform single, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions.

Qualifications: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands; significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 5% sitting, 70% walking, and 25% standing. *Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Working Conditions: Monday - Friday, Hours: 4:00 - 8:00 pm

Salary: $20.00 per hour
