And it all starts with our talented employees. We are seeking a full-time Office and Operations Supervisor to work in our Elk Grove Village distribution facility. ABOUT THE POSITION: This role oversees all office activities and supports warehouse operations. The scope of this role involves all aspects of shipment follow-ups, including tracking, billing, claims, and troubleshooting any anomalies. The Supervisor collaborates with customer service, accounting, and other departments to ensure the daily completion of tasks and smooth functioning of both office and warehouse activities. The shift is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:40 pm onsite. There may be occasional coverage outside of this time frame. Specific duties include: Supervise and manage office staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Support warehouse operations by working directly with the supervisors to ensure all orders ship correctly and on time. Support warehouse picking, packing, shipping and stocking operations daily. Oversee shipment follow-ups, including tracking, billing, carrier claims, warehouse claims and resolving any customer order changes/issues. Collaborate with transportation vendors to ensure timely delivery of international and domestic customer shipments. Ensure prompt resolution of customer service requests and inquiries. Conduct comprehensive root-cause analyses for customer issues and claims. Supervise and mentor administrative staff, providing necessary coaching and training to align with MISUMI's operational excellence. Backup the administrative staff's daily duties when required. Develop and update work instruction sheets, versatility chart, and manuals as well as ensuring compliance with ISO and safety standards. Facilitate daily cycle counting activities, ensure accurate reconciliation. Procure all essential office and warehouse supplies; monitor and manage office supplies and equipment and work with vendors on repair and maintenance. Drive best practices through kaizen activities for office and warehouse operations. Address and resolve any operational issues or conflicts that arise. Build basic reports related to operations and verify accuracy. Manage on-cost orders for kits in cooperation with POC to ensure timely completion and delivery to customers. All other duties as assigned by manager. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: Proven experience in office management and daily warehouse operations. Available to work occasionally on Saturdays and 2nd shift (10:30 am - 7:30 pm) Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and shipping systems. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 This is the lowest to highest rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
