Reporting to the Director of Student Life Disability Services (SLDS), this role functions as integral member of the SLDS office and provides administrative support to the Director and all levels of staff within the office; initiates and develops administrative procedures for central office; manages Directors calendaring functions; manages and responds to departmental e-mail inbox contacts daily; conducts outreach and referral to students regarding accommodation needs; serves SLDS contact for institutional and Student Life data and retention management initiatives; manages data within systems to obtain or generate accurate assessment, operational reports for Director; serves as liaison with SL marketing for projects and purchases; creates and distributes weekly e-mail newsletter and social media content for SLDS; hires, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates front desk student staffing and part-time ADA Assistant employee (as needed); provides administrative support for hiring, scheduling, payroll processing for direct and non-direct student staff reports; initiates HR and Workday processes each term to pay student note takers; assists staff, in collaboration with business partners, to facilitate travel; performs procurement activities including initiating/reconciling purchases; coordinates supplies and equipment needs for office; serves as Equipment Manager in oversight of asset management; assists in preparation and monitoring of supply, service, and equipment budgets; provides administrative support for projects and programs; implements University policy; serves as liaison with Academic Affairs, Student Life & University offices; completes on-going inclusion development; implements inclusive practices; maintains appropriate management of protected records; performs other duties as assigned. May work some evening and weekend hours. Successful completion of a background check.
Qualifications:
Required: High School diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant experience. Successful completion of a background check.
Desired Bachelors degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; intermediate level of skill with Microsoft Office software; 3 years of customer service experience; 3 years administrative experience; demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills; experience working in a college/university setting; professional experience working with college students; experience working with diverse populations; experience planning/booking travel for employees; 1 year experience managing payroll and timekeeping systems; experience managing key/access inventories; database management experience; experience managing social media; experience managing professional staff calendars.
Additional Information:Targeted hiring range is $18.17 to $23.90/hr. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the units available budget, and the selected candidates qualifications.
