Join our dynamic Carolina & Virginia (CVA) Region Team within Southern Timberlands! Reporting directly to the South Carolina Area Manager, you'll be part of a vibrant team of approximately 40 professionals spread across Lynchburg, VA, Summerville, SC, and Vanceboro, NC. This full-time, salaried non-exempt position is based in beautiful Summerville, SC. Enjoy the perfect balance of remote work flexibility and in-office collaboration, with minimal overnight travel for off-site meetings (less than 5%).

Key Functions:

  • Provide administrative support to the South Carolina team, including direct assistance to the Area Manager to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Role model safety and support administrative duties for the region's health and safety program and Weyerhaeuser’s audit process.
  • Serve as the site contact for employees, outside agencies, contractors, and the general public.
  • Support staff by managing contracted services and building maintenance, administering and coordinating parcel and mail shipments, maintaining office and forestry supplies, and assisting with scheduling and meeting preparation.
  • Manage the Area’s leased vehicle program, including ordering and maintaining vehicles in safe working condition.
  • Greet and direct office visitors, including leading office safety orientations.
  • Work with the Region Log Team to reconcile timber settlements, process over 500 weekly log shipments, and handle various expense invoices.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and at least five years of related experience.
  • Associates Degree (or higher) in business or related field strongly preferred
  • Energetic, positive, and motivated team player with a desire to learn
  • Detailed oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Desire to provide superior customer service
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (e-mail & scheduling), MS Teams, and MS SharePoint with the desire and ability to learn company-specific programs
  • Strong desire to work effectively in a team environment and learn the overall business
  • Great organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize
  • Proactive with a strong work ethic
  • Possess a high degree of initiative and commitment to “flow to work” as business priorities necessitate
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve issues with minimal direction
  • Contract administration experience desirable

What We Offer:

Compensation : This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $49,379-$73,998 b ased on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement : Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation : We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
