Position Title: Receptionist*
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months employment with benefits
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Excellent telephone and communication skills and a focus on customer service.
- Good attendance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a cheerful, welcoming personality to greet visitors and provide a positive first impression.
- Proficiency in office procedures, data entry, and technology, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and other administrative software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent telephone and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Flexible and willing to assist with various administrative needs.
- Notary Public License
JOB GOAL: Ensure the efficient operation of the Education Center by managing front desk responsibilities while providing administrative and technical support.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, answering phones, directing calls, and providing a welcoming and professional presence.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including inter-school correspondence.
- Maintain and update district telephone messages.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of office equipment, ensuring functionality and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Assist with document preparation, including typing correspondence, reports, and notices.
- Perform data entry tasks in district systems.
- Organize and process flyer distribution requests for students and staff.
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems for office records and reports.
- Coordinate communication between staff and administrative offices as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and other office software to support administrative functions.
- Assist other office personnel with projects and tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to work under time constraints and manage multiple deadlines.
- Frequent use of computers, office equipment, and various software programs.
- Occasional physical activity such as standing, sitting, walking, reaching, and light lifting.
- Potential exposure to sensitive situations, including interactions with students and the public.
