In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, working full time in the Alpharetta project office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Administers large moderately complex contracts.
  • Maintains a continuing review of the progress of each contract and provides management with information regarding any financial, legal or technical difficulties.
  • Prepares change order and amendments, negotiates with contractors and customers to obtain settlement.
  • Develops, issues, and administers contracts and services agreements as assigned.
  • Prepares bidders' lists, ensuring supporting input is received from relevant stakeholders and pre-qualifies bidders. Forms bid request packages, addenda, and other bid cycle correspondence, ensuring proper format, content and project requirements are met.
  • Facilitates Pre-Bid Package Risk and Strategy Workshop(s)
  • Issues bid request packages to approved bidders.
  • Coordinates bidder and Company clarification questions and responses
  • Receives and evaluates bids commercially.
  • Directs negotiations and prepares proposed negotiating plans as required.
  • Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and Recommendation for Award.
  • Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepares contract documents for execution.
  • Prepares and maintains control and status reporting documents.
  • Prepares and organizes assigned Contracts sponsored meetings, both pre and post award, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between EXP, the client and contractor on all contractual matters. Conducts weekly operational meetings and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules.
  • Assesses and processes Contractor invoices (including certified payrolls) in a timely manner.
  • Leads and advises internal stakeholders on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, (sub)contract performance, (sub)contract administration and other major matters.
  • Administers information programs to ensure mutual understanding of contract and (sub)contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepares periodic status reports as required.
  • Is familiar with the project's estimate baseline for assigned packages and identifies respective Trends, as required.
  • Accountable for adherence and integrity of assigned subcontracting records management for assigned work.

What your experience looks like

  • Proficiency and broad experience in the formation and administration of contracts through the various steps of bidder prequalification, compilation of bid requests, receipt of bids, bid evaluation, award, monitoring the performance of contractors, back-charge procedures, resolution of claims and disputes, and other such related steps.
  • 5+ years of contract administration experience required
  • Experience formulating and administering complex construction industry (sub)contracts. Extensive knowledge and experience in (sub)contract administration required.
  • Experience in developing complex contract types, fee arrangements, terms, and conditions.
  • Working knowledge of change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims and dispute resolution.
  • Knowledge of law, commercial negotiations, accounting, and cost engineering gained through education or experience.
  • Skilled in working with and communicating effectively with supervisors of other project functional groups, primarily Engineering, Construction, Project Management, client, and other services.
  • US Project contracting, and execution experience preferred including Davis Bacon Act and Project Labor Agreement governed work.
