Position Details:
The Opportunity:
In this role, you will plan, design, and implement IT systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations related to Enrollment Management at WSU. You will modify, maintain, and improve existing IT systems. You will elicit business requirements from stakeholders and subject matter experts, translating these requirements and functional specifications into technical requirements. You will review functional specifications and design documents for technical compliance against business requirements, identifying gaps between functional specs and the capabilities of the technology. Additionally, you will manage IT business project deliverables, coordinating IT resources with resource managers.
Required Qualifications:
- Positions require a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or related field AND four (4) years of professional experience in procedural, management, or business analysis work; OR a combination of education and experience totaling eight (8) years from which comparable knowledge and ability are acquired. A Master's Degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to use and apply project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to define, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with a wide variety of constituents with varying degrees of technical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to business problems and identify a solution within scope that can be implemented.
- Demonstrated ability to create testing plans and platforms, and implement tools associated with change and risk management.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Demonstrated conceptual technical understanding and the ability to communicate with technical stakeholders and other analysts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management certification from a nationally recognized organization such as PMI.
- Business Process Modeling experience and certification.
- Experience implementing and maintaining a CRM solution, a student information system, or other enterprise-wide solution.
- Experience with Technolutions Slate comprehensive CRM.
- Experience in multi-campus higher education setting.
- Advanced technical skills, including SQL or other query language.
Additional Information:
This is a full (100 % FTE), permanent position. Overtime eligibility will be determined by final salary placement.
Monthly Salary: $5,598.97 - $7,569.55 | Grade 6 Zone 1 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 , the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
